Telekom Networks Malawi Limited (TNM.mw) Q22022 Interim Report

In compliance with the Listings Requirements of the Malawi Stock Exchange Limited, a listed company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as there is a reasonable degree of certainty that the financial statements for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from that of the previous corresponding period.

Telekom Networks Malawi Plc accordingly advises that profit after tax for the half year ending 30 June 2022 is expected to be approximately 130% lower than the previous corresponding period. The adverse deviation has arisen from foreign exchange loss suffered from the recent 25% Malawi Kwacha depreciation.

The information on which this Trading Statement is based has not yet been reviewed or reported on by the auditors of Telekom Networks Malawi Plc.

The financial statements of Telekom Networks Malawi Plc for the period endingn30 June 2022 will be published in the press by September 2022 following their review and approval by the Board of Directors.
